# Web3Forms

> Web3Forms is a contact form API that sends HTML form submissions straight to your email inbox — no server, no backend code, and no database. You add one `access_key` to a plain HTML form and submissions arrive as email, with optional webhooks and app integrations.

Built for static sites and frontend frameworks (HTML, JavaScript, React, Next.js, Astro, Vue, Nuxt, Svelte, Hugo, Jekyll, Gatsby, Alpine.js, Webflow, Framer, Tailwind, Bootstrap). The access key is public by design — it is an alias for your email address, safe to ship in client-side code, not a secret API key.

## Quick start

Send a POST request to `https://api.web3forms.com/submit` with your access key. Accepts standard HTML form posts (`multipart/form-data` for file uploads) and JSON.

- Free: 250 submissions/month, unlimited forms and domains, hCaptcha, honeypot, custom redirect, 30-day submission history.
- Starter ($49/year): 5,000 submissions/month, 3-month history, limited paid features — no file uploads or autoresponders. For students, early startups, and non-profits.
- Pro ($15/month or $149/year): 10,000 submissions/month, file uploads, autoresponders, reCaptcha v3 and Cloudflare Turnstile, webhooks and app integrations, multiple recipients and CC, domain restriction, 1-year history, 3 included team seats, 5 GB file storage.
- Agency ($39/month or $399/year): 20,000 submissions/month, 20 linked email addresses, 10 seats, 10 GB file storage, dedicated support.

Add-ons on Pro and Agency: extra seats $5/seat/month or $48/seat/year; extra 10 GB file storage $3/month or $30/year; extra 25 linked emails $5/month or $50/year; white-label (remove Web3Forms branding) $9/month or $90/year. Payments are handled by Paddle; taxes are calculated at checkout; cancel anytime with a 7-day refund policy.

Submissions are transmitted over HTTPS and encrypted at rest. They are retained for up to 3 years by default, then deleted automatically. Retention is configurable per form from 7 days to 3 years, or unlimited on Pro and Agency plans.
